At NSW HSS we offer In Home Flexible Respite care services funded by the Australian Government's Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP). On 1 July 2015 the Government's new Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) replaced the following programs:

  • Home and Community Care (HACC)
  • National Respite for Carers Program (NRCP)
  • Day Therapy Centre Program (DTC) Commonwealth Home Support Program In Home Flexible Respite

What gives each carer respite, a break from their caring role is as individual as the carer themselves. That is why at NSW HSS we recognise that all people are unique and we will tailor your respite support according to your needs.

Are you a carer of someone over the age of 65?

Did you know that you DO NOT have to be a registered carer with Centrelink to qualify for in home flexible respite support? There are many people who care for someone who may not even recognise that they are a carer or that they are entitled to some support to assist them in their caring role. Caring for someone can be tiring and at times stressful.

What gives each carer respite, a break from their caring role is as individual as the carer themselves. That is why at NSW HSS we recognise that all people are unique and we will tailor your respite support according to your needs. We also consider the needs of the person being cared for so that the respite is worthwhile to both parties and has positive benefits to both the carer, and the person being cared for.
