Exhibitors and our Major Sponsors continue to contribute to the on-going success of the now Annual event held in Coffs Harbour as part of local Harmony Week celebrations.

The third ‘Harmony in Health’ Expo provided information about health and support services to 463 local residents speaking 41 different primary languages, combined with fun activities and entertainment.

There were over fifty Sponsors and Exhibitors and the Expo was on NBN news –

Sponsorship covered the cost of free tea and coffee for all, and lunch for high school students, to come and learn about healthy lifestyle options. A substantial number of people attended the Health Check room for screening &/or appointments, as an early intervention/prevention strategy.

Access to advice from Health Professionals has the potential to reduce the risk of chronic disease, and was available to an estimated 700 people attended the event, including dignitaries, visitors, students, teachers, volunteers, exhibitors and performers. Visitors collected information for themselves, their family and people who they care for, or care for them, with 9 ‘hidden carers’ identifying for the first time.

The effectiveness of the Harmony in Health Expo 2018 in supporting our refugee and migrant community can be shown through data collected, with feedback from community visitors, school students and stallholders being predominantly very positive and informative.

We sincerely thank our Major Sponsors and look forward to working with you all at future Expo’s. For an overview of this year’s event, see a 1 minute video on YouTube:
